Tax-Aid
Thanks to software from Gravit-e, this Bay Area non-profit is now able to more effectively manage its network of more than 1,000 volunteers who prepare income tax-returns at no charge for low-income families.
Tax-Aid prepares income tax returns for low-income families in the San Francisco Bay Area at no charge. The organization is largely driven by more than 1,000 volunteers across 50 locations.
Gravit-e developed software solution which helps Tax-Aid better manage its large volunteer network. Online registrations are collected in a centralized database, which allows organizers to assign volunteers to the most impactful sites and situations. Planning is improved thanks to automated needs-based prioritization during the registration process, and mass communications can be sent out to volunteers as needed. During Covid these tools were further enhanced to manage online appointments between volunteers and Tax-Aid clients, and to enable secure sharing of documents and information.
